Zarb George A

Born in Valletta (1939), he graduated B.Ch.D. University of Malta in 1960 and immediately proceeded to the United States of America for post-graduate studies. He specialized in prosthodontics and graduated M.S. at Ann Arbor (Michigan) and at Ohio University.

He then joined the teaching staff of the Dental Faculty of the University of Toronto, Canada and is presently Professor and Head of the Department of Prosthodontics in Toronto.

His interest in prosthodontics lead to extensive and pioneering work on osseointegrated dental implants. He has an extensive output of scientific articles and is the author or editor of leading textbooks.

He has honorary degrees from the University of Gothenburg and University of Malta (MD in 1995.
