Pirotta, Thomas (1.4.1933-)

Surgeon

Born in Valletta, Pirotta studied at the Lyceum, the UM, and the University of Adelaide, Australia, qualifying MBBS in 1955. He continued his medical educationin the UK, quailfying FRCS from Edinburgh and London (1961-1962) and FRACS in 1963. He contiued his medical career as surgeon in Melbourne. Pirotta was a pioneer in hair transplant techniques in Melbourne.

Pirotta is the author of a number of specialist publications in his field. He married Patricia Flaharty.

He died tragically in while piloting his own plane over Adelaide.
