Ellul, Edward (1894-1983) PoetBorn in Valletta and studied with the Salesians in Sliema and at The Salesian College in Martinetto, Turin, Italy (1910). He became Secretary of the Council of the Istitut Francais de Royaume Unit in South Kensington (1922-1946). For his work to encourge the French culture in England he was decorated by the French Government as Officer d'Academie (1930). He became the Commioner General for Malta in London (1948-49, 1955-58). He wrote several books on poetry while in England.Laer on he worte The Making adnn Unmaking of a Maltese Chief Justice, (1969), and other poems and epigrams.
