3.2 Distribution by State

Most of the Maltese-born population are now to be found in Victoria and NSW, these two states between them account for about 90% of the total migrant population.

The distribution of Maltese migrants in Melbourne is largely confined to the western and northern suburbs, namely, Sunshine, Keilor, Broadmeadows, and Altona. Likewise in Sydney, the Maltese are to be found in high concentrations in Blacktown, Holroyd, Cabramatta, Fairfield and Paramatta.
