Order By The Minister Declaring A Person To Be No Longer An Exempt Person Section 4(2) of the Immigration Act (Cap. 217) empowers the Minister to declare the husband or the widow/widower of a citizen of Malta or of a person who enjoyed freedom of movement, to be no longer an exempt person if the Minister is satisfied that the grant of such an exemption is not in the public interest. This provision has now been made applicable also in the case of a (non-Maltese) dependent of a citizen of Malta or of a person who enjoys freedom of movement, who is over the age of eighteen years.
