Mallia, Joseph (16.9.1923-)Mayor of Broadmeadows, AustraliaBorn in Vittoriosa, Mallia emigrated to Australia in his youth and he continued his education at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. He was employed by the Fire Protection Company as a Sales Manager and Sales Engineer and was involved in designing fire protection systems in hospitals, oil-rigs, and large buildings. In 1983 Mallia was elected councillor for the city of Broadmeadows, Victoria and in 1986 mayor, a post he was confirmed in again in 1990.
