Callus, Joseph (13.11.1945-)

Managing director

Born in Siggiewi, Callus emigrated to Australia with his family in 1956. In Australia he attended Chester Hill School and the Sydney Technical School, before starting an apprenticeship as a fitter and turner with Bailey Controls of Australia.

Callus occupied a number of key positions, going up the ladder before reaching his current post of Managing Director of Bailey Controls (Australia). His work included a two-year posting in Singapore to set up Bailey Singapore. He is President of the company's Asian Board of Directors.

Callus is credited with diversifying his company's product line from producing process control systems solely for power stations to similar applications in other industries and in taking his company out of Australia to produce for export.

Joseph is married to Josephine Formosa, and they have two sons, David and Martin, and a daughter, Natalie.
